Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you share with us.

A plain-English summary of what Mindset Academy collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what your rights are. Written for parents and students, not for lawyers.

I. Who we are

The institute behind this policy.

Mindset Academy is the trading name of M/s. Mindset Eduhub, a partnership firm based in Guwahati, Assam. We run two coaching centres — at Zoo Road and Adabari — offering HS (SEBA / CBSE) and B.Com (Gauhati University) tuition.

This policy explains how Mindset Eduhub handles personal information you share with us through our website, WhatsApp, phone calls, or in person at our centres.

II. What we collect

The information we ask for, and what's gathered automatically.

You give us directly

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • The course you're interested in (HS or B.Com)
  • Anything else you choose to tell us in a WhatsApp message, a phone call, or at the centre

This happens when you fill the Book Free Demo form on our site, tap a Call or WhatsApp button, or enrol your child in one of our centres.

Collected automatically

Standard web-request data — IP address, browser, referring page, timestamp — is logged by our hosting provider for security and basic performance. We do not run any independent visitor tracking, third-party analytics, or advertising pixels on this site.

From third parties

We do not buy or receive personal information about you from any third party.

III. Why we use it

What your information is used for — and what it's not.

We use the information you share to respond to demo-class bookings and course enquiries, to schedule classes, to share notices about exams and results with enrolled families, and to improve our teaching and operations based on what students and parents tell us.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, behavioural profiling, or automated decisions about whether to admit a student.

IV. How long we keep it

Retention windows, set deliberately short.

  • Enquiries that don't lead to enrolment: up to 12 months, in case you come back to us.
  • Active student records: while the student is enrolled with us, plus 3 years after — for results, references, and statutory record-keeping.
  • WhatsApp messages: remain on the institute's WhatsApp account for as long as WhatsApp itself stores them. You can ask us to delete a chat at any time.

After these periods we delete or anonymise the records.

V. Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.

Inside Mindset Academy, only the partners and the relevant faculty member see student records. We will share information outside the institute only in two situations:

  • When you explicitly ask us to — for example, sharing results with a school or guardian.
  • When we are required to by a court order, regulator, or under Indian law.

We do not share information with advertising networks, data brokers, or unrelated third parties under any circumstance.

VI. Cookies and third-party services

What our website loads from other companies.

Our website does not set its own cookies. It does load a few things from other services, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Google Maps — embedded so you can find our centres. Google may set cookies and log your IP address when the map loads.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces on the site are loaded from Google's servers, which logs the request.
  • Vercel — the hosting service for the website, which logs standard web-request data as noted above.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — when you tap a WhatsApp button you are handed over to WhatsApp, which handles your message under Meta's privacy policy.

If you'd rather we didn't load Google Maps for you, a browser extension like uBlock Origin will block the embed without affecting the rest of the site.

VII. Your rights

What you can ask us to do, under the law.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Erase your information when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
  • Withdraw consent for any future communication from us.
  • Nominate someone to act on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.

To exercise any of these, contact us on the number below. We will respond within 7 working days.

VIII. Students under 18

Extra care for minors.

A meaningful share of our HS students are under 18. Where the student is a minor, we collect and process their information only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian — typically the parent who books the demo class or completes the enrolment at the centre.

We do not profile minors, target them with ads, or share their information with any third party for any purpose. If you are a parent and would like us to delete your child's records, just ask us.

IX. Changes to this policy

When we update this page, and how you'll know.

We update this policy when our practices change, or when the law requires us to. Significant changes that affect enrolled families will be communicated directly on WhatsApp. The Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

X. How to reach us

One number for every privacy question, request, or grievance.

If you have any question about this policy, want to exercise one of the rights above, or wish to raise a grievance, contact:
